Brampton residents Jaydn Skeen-Knight, left and Jacob Turk of the Bullets Track Club received their trophies for 2011 performances at the annual Ontario Minor Track Association banquet Saturday January 21. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Two Brampton athletes were among those honoured as the Ontario Minor Track and Field Association handed out its awards to the top performers of 2011 from around the province.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tim Turk says "Hard work and consistant training pays off"! in any sport.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Read below... Jacob Turk(right) was recently recognized as a top elite athlete in Ontario! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jacob Turk received the award for the top senior boys thrower. The 14-year old had top results of 42.70m in the javelin, the second best ever for his age group in Ontario. He also tossed the discus 29m and the shot put more than 10m. Marie. He played his first two years for the North Channel Minor Hockey Association and last year for Soo Pee Wee. He has been the points leader for each year. This year will be an exciting rep year with the Soo jr. Greyhounds. David has two older brothers and many cousins that he loves to play hockey with on our local outdoor rink. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;David also loves soccer, track and field and basketball. The x-box is a favourite when his friends are over.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;David's favourite player and team are Ovechkin and Washington Capitals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;David has been training at RHP in Sudbury and loves it. When he's not talking about his favourite team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, he alternates between dreaming of scoring goals and saving them and is always practicing the butterfly and doing the splits.  He credits learning how to shoot a puck with Tim Turk.  Tim, thanks so much for your willingness to coach him and the amazing goal-scoring instruction you gave him!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When Josh is not on the ice, he loves to hang out with his friends and play cars and SuperMario Kart.  He also likes to swim, score goals in soccer and watch any kind of sport especially Formula 1 and Nascar racing.
